New Fibers - Material Strategy

New Fibers is an innovative team in Mexico that is recycling one of the most difficult-to-recycle materials - multi-layered cardboard packaging (commonly known as Tetrapak). After years of research and development, they have found a way to separate the various materials to give this problematic material a new life.

Acting as a design partner to the New Fibers team, we helped to identify that the raw material of their recycling process - called PolyRoca - could create a beautiful architectural board read to be deployed both in interior and exteriors spaces as decorative and structural paneling.

Process

PROWL was brought in to create a future-proof go-to-market strategy which points them toward specific industries and use cases based on the materials’ functions and characteristics, then helping communicate these materials in those applications through spacial art direction.
